I've been a reader my whole life — the kind who always has a book in my bag, who reads in waiting rooms, who will happily cancel plans for a particularly gripping chapter. Books have been my most consistent companions through every season of life.

A few years ago I started writing short reflections on what I read: not academic reviews, but honest, personal reactions. What moved me. What didn't. What I kept thinking about days later. Friends kept asking for recommendations, and eventually it made sense to collect everything in one place.

That's this website. I write about literary fiction, historical novels, mysteries, and the occasional memoir. I'm honest when something doesn't work for me, and I try to explain why rather than just what. I'm not a critic — I'm a reader who loves to talk about books.
